Could it be...?

Back by popular demand!

My days have been frantic and dull. I wrote this for my story, FREAK, but to be honest it applies perfectly to my life:

Sadie and the freak settled into a strange morning routine.  The freak would wake up early to the sunlight streaming over her face and birds chirping.  She would stretch, feeling the warmth of the sun and the comfort of the sofa.  She watched the sun stream away from the sofa, and then, slowly, she would get up.  As she straightened up the room, Elsa would come with food for the freak.  “Is she up?” Elsa would always ask.  The freak always shook her head.  The freak ate while Elsa went to Sadie’s door.  Elsa didn’t have a key for this door (Sadie had the only key) and Sadie always kept it locked, so Elsa would pound on the door loudly.  “Miss Sarah!” Elsa would yell, jiggling the door knob.  “It’s time to get up!  Sarah!  Don’t make me get your mother!”  This dialogue would last five minutes, with a colorful assortment of threats and insults, and finally end with Sadie emerging from her room with a grumpy scowl across her face.  Elsa would undress Sadie and Elsa and Sadie would have a battle of what Sadie should wear.  Sadie always won.  After Sadie was dressed, Elsa would usher Sadie outside the room to eat breakfast.

Well... except Elsa in this case is my alarm clock, the freak is my own calm self who doesn't care about the sun, and Sadie is my vampire self. ("STAY AWAY FROM THE LIGHT!"

 Make sense? I thought not.

A few things have happened which are pretty cool. I haven't been getting on the computer as much, but as a result, I have been getting A's in all my courses. Cool? COOL! And high A's too.

I've been thinking about what I've done for school this year, and I'm pretty pleased with myself. For example, it looks like I wil get straight A's again. Look at the college level classes I'm taking/taken this year!

  • Biology
  • Spanish I
  • Spanish II
  • English
  • Geometry
  • Precalculus

Okay... so not a lot. But I've gotten A's in them, or am getting A's in them. WOOT!

Er... it's late and I told you just a small fraction of my day. Ni modo. I'll come back some day...

Okay, I am ready to kill a couple of people. My parents keep on foiling all my attempts at earning money. Now I get to be a dog walker. Fun? Fun! The problem is that there are all these strict rules I have to follow. For one, I can't go out of the house if they're gone, even if I lock the door. Yes, it's safety and good, but when they want to go off on a large shopping spree when I need to talk with my employer, then I want to start killing everyone.

When I expressed interest to go for a walk when my dad was home, he gave me the squinty eyes, told me that I should wait for him. It's dark outside, he hasn't come home yet. I guess I can go down to my employer as soon as I can. This is really annoying though because I'm not technically employed either, so she doesn't know me well enough yet. I don't usually slack off like this: I just thought that my dad would come at a reasonable time like he hinted he would. Big mistake.

Soo... yeah.

Yep, I'm doomed...

For some strange reason, I'm feeling depressed. The ads by the side there (points) talk about cars. I'm 16 years old, yet cannot drive. *sighs* It's almost as if Google can read your mind and figure out what you want.

But I digress. I still have some homework to do (not much, honest. It's so easy I'm not sweating about it. I also have two quizzes tomorrow. For some reason, I don't care about those. I'll be fine; honest. What I am worrying about is that damn essay I wrote. For all of those who are wondering, the essay was supposed to be about the language of war. After struggling with it a bit, I finally wrote it. Unfortunately, after the fact I realized two mistakes with the essay.

1) I misspelled the teacher's name. GAH!!!!!!!!!!!

2) I misquoted President Bush -- that is, I said he said his State of the Union address in 2002 when the piece I quoted was actually on September 20, 2001.

Oops.

Anyway, I have just realized I'm doomed. Fun? Fun!

Bleah.

I am NOT a Liberal! Honest!

First of all, understand that I consider myself to be a conservative. A conservative people! With that said, I took a quiz. Guess what I got?

A LIBERAL!

The quiz said this:

Liberal - You believe that some things in society could definitely stand to be improved, and you view social progress as the key. You admirably manage to hold that view without becoming rabid about it, which ironically shows you as having far more genuine tolerance for your differing views than your Far-Left Liberal cousins.

Take the quiz and tell me what you get:

Where do you fall on the liberal - conservative political spectrum? (United States)
brought to you by Quizilla

But the question still remains...

A LIBERAL!!!!!!!!! ME????

I'm still not sure whether to be offended or not. Let me think about this for a while... or! better yet, let me make a list:

Environmental Matters

I believe that the environment is important, yet I think that the left is too emotional about trivial things without looking at the scientific facts. For instance, "OH MY GOSH! THE 'DAY AFTER TOMORROW' IS SO TRUE! WE'RE ALL KILLING OUR PLANET! AHHHHH!"

I think that is a bunch of bullshit. Look for scientific fact; do not get so emotionally tied up you can't think anymore. Geez...

Abortion

Absolutely against it. I think it's a needless death that shouldn't happen. That is not to say I would want to kill every woman who does have an abortion -- that would miss the point entirely. But life is precious and it should be kept.

War on Iraq

It was needed. Any country who will deliberate look away from a country that is obviously struggling with a dictator is horrible, especially a superpower. To selfishly not give help when people need it is wrong, especially when the real reason why many countries do not assist thir-world countries is because they fear the third-world countries rising up. NO! Let them be free; it'll be better for anyone in the long run.

Death Penality

Should be banned. Instead, the criminals should be tortured and sent to hard labor camps. THEY SHOULD BE MADE TO SUFFER, DAMMIT!

Homosexuality

I think it's a little gross, but otherwise don't care. As far as allowing them to marry? Nah. Since my philosophy on this would take too long to explain, let's go to the next one!

Social Services

These need to be reformed drastically, and to be honest, the presiden't plan sounds mighty promising -- the stock market is risky, but it can give very high returns.

Race

No race should be put higher than the rest. Everyone is equal.

Religion is Schools

Yes. Learning about religion is important and can help many young people who are struggling to define themselves.

George W. Bush

He's a good man. THERE! I SAID IT!

So as you can see, I do not think like a liberal. Or, if I do think like a liberal, then it's the literal meaning, not the political meaning. Ew...
